    Hey All...

A little something on the side... A Pegaso 11th Light Dragoon 54mm in Vallejo acrylics and Andreas White Set. The whites, reds and yellows are done. The blues and blacks are just basecoated. The white piping is a nightmare to be dealt with latter:unsure:

    Comments are welcome as always

    HELP...
Does anyone out there have any secrets or techniques on the best way to attack the piping down the front of the jacket? The are well sculpted, in deep relief but they are so close together... they're are going to be a nightmare to paint!

Any thoughts are greatly sought after.

    Thanx

Great job on the whites colin, how do you like the Andrea white paoint system?
On another note, the piping in an uniform is alway a headache , what i normally do is i paint the darkest shade of piping, and i add the highest list not very diluted with a tiny brush on top or on the edge , and i finish with a very high "light" on the opposite edge of the piping line so it give the effect of protruding from the cloth.
On this specific item, i will paint the white "cords" , use some sort of ink to trim in between them .
Let me know if you don't understand what i try to say , it's kinda hard to explain i know.

    Yeah Daniel,
I think I understand what u mean. I think this piping may be too fine for that many layers but the technique will be heplful on the Chasseur, he has TONS of braid and piping:eek:. Your right about the wash I think... paint the pipe, wash the blue in between and the highlight the piping again.

Thanks for the input my friend... Cheers

    Colin
