Jimmy, the whole figure whas a drama. The tigerskin needs the most attention. You have to use alot off putty to fix the whole figure, specialy the tigerskin. It needs indeed putty on the shoulder, it needs putty on the body and it needs alot of putty on the belt.

It's easy. You put some epoxyglue on the spot you want the blood. Then with a toothpick stretchen the drop of epoxy. You have to wait several minutes before you do that. And then with alot of patience you get it.
After drying paint it.

I picked this one up too, and started to work on it. Stopped shortly after that. HORRIBLY fit and mold slippage/flash. BUT a great figure, and you've done a wonderful job onit!! Was the biggest area for you where the arm connects with the torso, and the multi-piece fur? My belt area is decent, but wow...

The biggest area is the fur, well in fact nothing fits really well. Alot of putty will do the job.

Nice job overall Marc. Can you tell me a little bit about you using inks for the matallics? I just ordered some silver inks and have never used them. Do you feel any advantage to using them???

Marc I think you are selling yourself short. For me the key word in what you said is 'showing'. Euro has of course a competition but it is, or should be fundamentally a show where modellers and painters of all abilities can critique and share technique and information with each other. This is best done when you can see work in the 'flesh'.
I know it has to be a personal decision but given the interest in some of methods you've used I'm sure lot's of us would like to see work like yours that sets a more acheivable standard than that of the 'masters'

I use the silver inkt for chainmail and other kind of silvery metallic. I start with the silver and mix black and burnt umber in it. That's my base color. Shading is with more black highlight is with more silver.
When dry i do a wash with burnt umber and a little black.
When this is dry I use pure silverinkt for the highest highlight.
If i feel advantage: i don't know, never used another kind of paint for metallic. I can controle it better then acrylic.
For bronze i use the same method but the colors are gold printers inkt, raw umber.

Agree with you Derek. But I think (and I'm one of them) that there should be another class for us mortals. The masters can compete against each other, and we the ordinary painters compete to each other.
There is no class for beginners to.
I would like to see a class for beginners, advanced, and masters, maybe grandmasters.
It would bring more figures from around the world because alot of people are afraid of showing there work between the great boys.
Another option would be a place (why not in the bar downstairs) where you can discuss figures with other people. And it should be done with figures out of competition. I think it will help the social part of the event, and to know more people.

Maybe I change my mind, but someone has to bring to figures of bring them back. I have no option for two days at the moment, and another reason is that I never hear about a good hotel for a good price.

Marc I gave up on it. The fits between torso / belt and leg/loincloth are a joke. The tiger pelt didn't even fit together. As you have proven with a lot of putty it is a great kit but all that extra work is not what I paid for. Alexandros needs to lift it's game for me to buy another of their figures.

I understand what you mean. There resin kits are superbe.
Another member of our club has the same experience.
Don't give up the putty, it's worth every minute you spend on that task.
And then all the fun begins.
Come on, if you let it down, you money is gone to the drain.
