I wanted to get away from the whites for a little bit and decided to represent this fusilier of the French Navy.
This "Marine" uniform was decree in the regs for the 1779 French Army ,which consist of a dark blue coat, scarlet collar, lapels and cuffs ,blue turnbacks with an anchor instead of the usual fleur-De-Lys or grenades.
The vest and Breeches are dark blue and gaiters are white.
the hat will have a yellow brim.
The waist belt was an item from the 1776 regulation but i decided to add it to the uniform.
I am posting 2 illustrations for reference, one from Don troiani, which portrays a 1776 uniform, the other pic is from Osprey and portray the 1779 regulation.
    Hope you guys like.
    cheers

    Another hit for sure!
I know what you mean about changing up the colour palette once in a while... you don't want to get sick of the very thing you like to paint most.
This should be a strong figure when complete... can't wait!

    Cheers

Thanks Coling, always appreciate your comments and imput.
I've been wanted to try some blue and scarlet for a while, since i have like 8 figures already primed and assembled i went for this color combination.
I am still debating if i should go ahead with the four big bases for yorktown or go with individual small bases for each regiment , any suggestions welcome.
    Best regards
