Hi Jason, It was indeed a very well done piece. The skin tones are excellent and your pictures don't even come close illustrating to the quality of this work. Congrats on the Gold(y)

Beautiful paint job. I'm trying to paint some patterned fur at the moment and it's not easy.

This is a better Zulu sculpture too than many I have seen - most don't get the typical 'high' bottom and pot belly right. My favourite though is still the old Rosedale Induna. (y)

    Hi Jason,
This is a period in history I love and I love your work. Absolutely top notch work mate. I have a few Zulu figures to do in the future and if I can achieve 50% of what you have done I will be very happy.(y)
    cheers

Jason, this certainly is an excellent paint job: which we have come to expect from you... (y)

Also, the Pegaso figure is a beautiful sculpt. But it suffers from "hollywood syndrome": He looks like a refugee from gold's gym. If one consults period photos of Zulu warriors, you find that the actual warrriors did not have the hyper-muscled look of the Pegaso sculpt. I have to agree with David That the old Induna figure sculpted by David Greive back in the day, is a more accurate, if less well detailed, representation. I cannot remember the original manufacturer of this iconic model, but it definitely was not Rosedale.

I painted it back on the day. It is still a classic.....
