    Hi all!

Also on my bench is this Exclusive release from Stu.

Available now from the Stormtroopers web site I will be blogging my box-art here on the Planet :)

I've started on the face and still need to do some work around the eyes :)

With the supplied Brass rod I decided on a cane or swagger style stick and made the ends with tape and Acrylic filler.

I'm looking forward to working on all the details Igor sculpted into this :)

Please feel free to Comment, Crit and Correct!

Thought "that's a weird snarl" til I recalled he has a pipe to come LOL.

I assume you are still working on his cheeks....the rouge effect on his left cheek might need to be blended a bit to remove the look of a solid transition line...or perhaps its a photo issue. Great eyes!

    Nice job so far!

Carl ... many thanks and yes he has :)

Giovanni .... Nah just a boring old fart ;)

Brian ... Thanks mate and Cheers Stu for the link :)

Okay I did the tunic and the bomb bag today.

    Tunic colours are:
    Base AV Burnt Umber
    Mid AV English Uniform
Hight Mid plus AV Light Flesh

    The Bomb Bag was:

    Base AV English Uniform
Mid Base plus AV Light Flesh
    Hight AV Deck Tan

I hope this created some harmony between the two. I plan on using AV Khaki to do the other bag but will try to shade it with Burnt Umber and Lighten with Deck Tan, again to tie it too the rest of the figure.

I will be doing a lot more work on the face as it looks too ruddy in context with the rest of the piece.

    Update soon :)

I probably will soften the bottom of some of the transitions on the jacket too :)

Roger ... Thanks :) Ah go on! Do it! :)

    Dennis ... Thank you! :)

    Nap ... Cheers! :)

    Hendryk .... Thanks! :)

    Sam ... Thank you! :)

Rob ... Thanks again :) Yes it is a treat all this new stuff :)

Okay I did a bit more, used The palette from the bomb bag to do the shirt and tie but kept it very light, NMM for the brassy coloured parts is the usual mix of...

    Base AV Burnt Umber
    Mid AV Yellow Ochre
High Mid and AV Off White at about 1:2 but also up to pure Off White for the highest lights.

I worked over the face with the AV Basic Skin ( very thinned and lots of layers ) that killed the reds and has pulled it back into line with the rest of the piece ( I think ). The eyelids have been tidied up and the hair is still in progress.

Also I did soften the transitions somewhat on the tunic.

    :)

I think it's starting to come together now.
