This is the latest release from Benieto Minitures. A three figure set representing guard grenadiers 1812. The figures and other parts are cast in white metal and are 54mm in scale.

All parts are supplied in a foam lined box, there is a data sheet included in the box to help with painting as well as some nice box art painting to help as a painting guide.

The kit comprises of sixteen white metal parts. A close inspection shows the usual good standard of casting and detail that Beneito are renowned for.

Although there looks to be a lot of parts and a complex construction it’s not a bad as it first may seem, careful planning and lots of thought has gone into the design and progressive painting and assembly of this piece with all three figures able to be painted before final assembly.

We can see an example of this in the image below showing the separation of the two parts of the wounded figure, once painted it will locate precisely into the upper torso of the figure which is a part of the same casting as the standing figure.
The pictures below show some basic assembly with the aid of some blu tak to overcome the effects of gravity! We can also get a closer look at some of the smaller parts of the kit.

    Conclusion:
Another fine release and nice addition to the extensive range of figures from this long established company. All parts are cast to the usual high standard and show good level of detail and minimal clean-up of mould seam lines. Looks great painted up, nice pose of the figures, highly recommended and a fine addition to anyone’s figure collection interested in this era of history.
