WIP Grenadier officier of the Soissonois Reg. 1781 (update I)

    Hello everyone;
    I took some progress pics today.
    Here are the mixes:
    1-Grenadier's fur hat
    Base: burnt umber + german camo black/brown
    Lights added flat yellow
    Shadows added black.
    Few washes with brown glaze.
    2- Hat's brass plate with the royal Cypher
    Testors enamel brass and gold
    few diluted coats of Sepia ink,then re-touch prominent areas in gold.
    I added some images of this regiment so you can have an idea of the Crimson facings.

    Hi Daniel. You´re on the way. The creamish white tone of the uniform is perfect, as well as the red crimson of facings. Good work in the fur cap. This going to be a very nice figure. (y)

    As for the white,i took the mix from "el greco miniatures" tutorial,Stephen Malia.
    The mix is as follow:
    Base : Vallejo Pale Sand + English Uniform + Japanese uniform WWII and a dab of black
    Lights: 1st light base + ivory
    2nd light base + 1st light + white
    Final lights pure white
    Shadows : base + japanese uniform
    final shadows : base + japanese uniform + black
