Couldn't resist this guy when I saw him.Figured he would be nice and easy as I am just getting back into painting after ten years break.I liked the box art shield so decided to do copy that.He is mostly in oils except for the helmet, metal and shield, which I used citadel paints.feel free to tell me what you think,i feel a bit humbled when I see the incredible skill some of you have. Hi Neil,

Great news to see you back in action & also to see your work on this bust.
Like especially the rugged face you've painted with this guy & the detail on the shield.
Tiny star detail looks particulary good.

What else are you planning to paint?

That's indeed a great piece of painting. You proved that painting figures is something that you never forget. Just like riding a bicycle.

I used a very simple technique that war hammer modellers use by painting with citedal silver and using their excellent badab black and devlin mud ready made washes which are quick and very effective. Thanks for the kind comments.
