Thank you very much for your warm compliments, Grant, Carl B, Chih-Wei, Pedro, Stephen, Gordy, David, Mike and Chris!

I paint all in acrylics. Jo Sonja's, Andrea Colors and Vallejo.

Yes of course if you want to, when I finished. You can see a large images by clicking thumbnail images and you will notice It's still really rough! :)

As Ron requested me to paint Parker with camouflage, I decided to paint it in camo. But I researched and found out that this type of parkar is M40, which is only colored in Field grey. Type M43 is colored in both grey and camo.

    So...like Brent did in this thread (http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/1-9-waffen-ss-machine-gunner.45849/), I converted M40 into M43.

Nice start Kaz! And it's never enough of those large scale figures from John Rosengrant! :)

Yes, you have to modify the parka, if you want to paint it in italian camo, to a full button-down one. If you'd need good photos of the original, let me know.

    Enjoy it! ;)

While I'm waiting for putties on figure dried, I started making Machinen-Gewehr-42. I drilled hole all through the gun body to stick brass rod, which I use it as a gun barrel and reinforced shaft.

I found the gun body warped to left a little bit, so I put it into hot water and bend it to make it straight.

    Thanks for the compliments, Hades!

Here's more WIP pics. Airbrushed black primer on converted M43 Parka and MG42. I converted the shape of the chest pockets too.
The head hasn't changed from the previous post. After I finished priming equipments, I will add 5 o'clock shadows, a little bit more shadows and highlights on face, and then move on to uniform.

    Hi Kaz!

I have this two pics, but if you see Mr.Ron Volstad work you will see what I am talking about regarding the brown color anorak.
The brown anorak (1ST PATTERN) is in bad condition but the blue (2 PATTERN) is well maintained, although I have some doubts about the veracity of the use of this color, otherwise it seems to me an original photo.
    Cheers

Thanks a lot for the reference photos, Pedro! I didn't know the blue version I've never seen this before. Thanks!
Also I can see that the brown one is the M40 type version.
Both colors are very very interesting, but I think I will choose italian camo version... :)
I saw several italian camo colors, I don't know the true color on camo. Do you have any references for the italian camoflage?
