Dave, I think what's making this standout as a great piece of work is even after 54 pages we're all still thinking Wow! and eagerly awaiting the next installment. Looking forward to the next set of pics.

Carl, the ivy leaves are all individually stuck on some old root which i carefully placed on the wall first. The ivy leaves are slightly bigger Birch seeds that you find in those cone like pods ( I got a load form a huge birch in my garden). 1/35 use them for leaves but given the jump in scale the slightly larger ones make a good ivy leaf.

Roger, I just keep plugging away lol, it has seemed a very long time (8 months and not a single bit of paint on a figure yet)

That's exactly what I mean Dave, 8 months and no sign of any figure painting yet we're still enthralled.... quite a feat.

Nice Dave, love the ivy and the tattered facia boards along the roof line, very well done. Are you going to add hints of green to the ivy? Even in winter it's usually got some green to it. Love the way you finished up the outside, pretty dang spiffy Bro, pretty dang spiffy!!

Thanks matey. I was thinking about the ivy last night and considered the exact same thing. I think it's a good idea to add a few bits of green here and there with oils ( so it has a slight sheen)

Hi Dave, simply stunning as usual mate. Just gets better every update. A thought for you, alongside smoke damage on the interior, when placing the tigger give a thought to exhaust staining on the wall directly behind it. As you probably know, Tigers had to be started every day and run for quite a while. They gave off a considerable amount of exhaust smoke which was not exactly environment friendly. Look forward to next episode.

I'm still deliberating over those little bits of added detail but it's another good shout in respect of exhaust fumes

Once I have the internal paint job sorted I will re-evaluate

update time!

I have pretty much finished the internal paint job for the window and walls. I just need to tidy some highlights and lowlights for the sake of good order.

I have also put the secondary colours on to the stone floor, I will then but a darker wash for the mortar lines and craked stone, before adding a very light grey dry brush to let the colours come through but also raise the higher points, not far off the Tank and figures now.

The pics show it slightly darker because I took it in crappy light, it's a much much lighter stone in daylight which is the effect I wanted to acheive:-

Ooooooh.... yes coming along very nicely mate, cant wait to see the tiger placed on that floor and the figures added to the scene, nice work on the stonework painting, looks just right to me.

I'm the same as you, eager to get the cat and figures across the floor, but I need to hold back otherwise you are in danger of the big rush as you see the finish post.

I have placed the Tiger on the floor tonight and it really does have huge presence now the walls are done.

The strange thing for me is that the hard work on all the Tiger detail now stands out more against the painted stonework

I'll carry on with the filters and flooring etc for now

Floor is pretty much done, just need a few dark washes in the mortar lines here and there. Interior painting is the same with the odd spot needing attention at completion. I have finished the base colour for the slate and will add variable shades to each individual tile as well as highlights and obviously weathering. The Tiger in situ gives you a good impression of real world weight on the crushed tiles, next job is to continue with the roof and add the lead flasing.

Looks great Dave. It would really set this off if you got your final pics on a cloudy morning outside with some brush in the background and maybe even a light fog/mist. The outside of the structure looks so real, way cool!

Just checking in, nice to see some colour going down, it really does enhance the awesome build quality and especially the attention to detail. Keep up the good work mate a real master class can't wait to see what figures you incorporate into the scene.

Yes I will make sure the shots outside are very atmospheric. I may take some early morning, mid day sun and late summers evening, but hell, there is still a massive paint job ahead, however I am just sketching my next project lol!!

Thanks Richie I appreciate your comments and continued interest. It's actually a big difference once the colour hits, it brings all the detail to life. I hope the end result will give the viewer a ton of stuff to look at not just the Tiger and figures.
