Following with my project, here's one of the recent additions to my workbech.
As usual, the upper body of this figure is from Modeles et Allures, added standing collar with Greenstuff putty.

The hat is build from scratch, needless to say...i am in love with the shape of this hat,so is that that i have made a mold for massive production.
The head id from JMD,i just received their new set of heads and hands #2.
The flag is from Vid soldiers and i painted the base color in blue/violet mix, since this regiment facings is purple i want the flag to have a slight variation on the hue,so it stands out.
    Best regards

Daniel, I don't believe I commented on the first couple of figures, but I really like where this is going. This guy looks great and I look forward to seeing him painted up now.

Hi to all. I want to share a little information about this regiment officers uniform. I think it would be useful for everybody interested in this period.I have take a plate from the book " Uniforms of the American Revolution" by John Mollo, illustrated by Malcom McGregor.

The text about the plate says:
" France. Officer Gatenois Infantry Regiment. As before the distinguishing marks of officers were their epaulettes and gorgets. Fusiliers companies were denoted by their white shoulder-straps piped in the regimental colour, and the cloth fleur-de-lis sewn on the turnbacks, also in the distinguishing colour. Portraits of officers sometimes show them wearing black breeches, which must have been more practical than the white. The Gatenois regiment was numbered "18" in 1779."

    Thanks Eduardo!
I have seen that officer picture before and I was itchy to try something different on this figure.
I thing I will go with the vallejo german brown-black as a base to give it a try.
Roger, thanks for your kind words,I will keep some updates towards the end of the week :)

Here's an update to this flag bearer.
I mainly use Vallejo and some Andrea acrylics.
I finished the vest and vest pockets and decided to add a sword belt which i used Lead sheet.
Since it was a time of transition for the French Army, some regiments wore previous accoutrements, especially officers serving over seas, wore some items of the uniform at their "likes"
    Base colors:

.Coat,i decide to use a different mix than the Andrea's white paint set,i used the Vallejo Off white and Buff,1-1

.Face and hands,Salmon rose, cavalry brown and a little of burnt umber

.Hat,german grey and a little dab of japanese uniform and sunny skintone.

    .Sword belt,pale sand and ivory
    vest,deck tan
Pants, german brown/black plus a little bit more black

    Best regards
