    Hi all,

It's been a a busy year so far. Thanks to everyone here on the Planet for being frank enough to comment on my work this year. This is probably the last post for me until 2012.

This is another oldie but goodie from Pegaso. I have no idea who sculpted it but its a bitch"n sculpt. Very subtle and easy to paint. Painted in acrylics, Metal Cote, and Printers inks. It was a lot of fun to paint.

Keep in mind that "...we can't judge a book by its cover..." Take a look at the last pic of the original Box Art.

All comments are welcome. Good and constructive.

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy New Year!

Nice one Mike, I did this one years ago!!!(y)

I think it was sculpted by Stefano Borin of White Models fame;)

    Mike,
    I agree.
Some of these older kits are better than their box art would imply.
    You've proven this point perfectly.
Fantastic paint job on this one.

When I saw your painting, I thought it was a new figure from Pegaso, but then I saw the old boxart...hehehehe. I agrre with all the rest. Your painting should be on the boxart

I would like to say something on behalf of Pegaso painter, whoever he is. How many of us, painted in 2001 as we paint now in 2011? It would be interesting to see.:D

I took a look to an old Pegaso catalogue. The sculptor is Stefano Borin (as you said David), and the painter is C. Pennantini

Very nice job! There are many gems in the back catalogue of Pegaso. They can usually be had for a song if you keep your eyes open at shows and online. You have proven the value of giving the kit a second look. Great job!

This is a prime example of boxart making/breaking a piece. Mike you are making it! I've walked away from figures on a vendors table, only to return when I have seen the same piece beautifully painted on the exhibition table.

    Nice one(y)

David, Gilbert, Marc, Brian, Xenofan, Pedro, Maurizio, Jim, Gordy, Christian. Thanks for taking a look and taking the time to comment.

Eduardo, I agree with you that there are not too many of us that were painting at the same level today that we were a decade ago.(y)

Hi Paul, I agree with you. I've done the same thing. I was recently tempted to sell this kit as well as some older Pegaso's with it. I think I've had a change of heart now and will look at these kits again in a new light.
