    Hi Adrian,
I just love the subtly and refined tones of your painted figure, even more impressive considering it is in 1/35 scale.I also like that you have made this your own with the conversion and setting, very well done.(y)
    cheers

Thank you Pedro. Yes I thought, let's do a simple one quickly. Turned out I needed 3 months or so to get it done... Just too little bench time. I so look forward to the holiday season!

Thanks Richie! Glad you like it :)
The 1:35 made it quite a challenge for me. What you see was done with optivisor and Series 7 brushes, and lots of rework... Anyway, I'm happy with it, but glad it's gone from the bench and in the display cabinet now.

Another superbly executed bit of work Adrian. High quality painting and lovely scale groundwork and barbed wire.

Great stuff and look forward to seeing more of your work in the future.

    Very nice Adrian
A good touch the grass stopping on the other side of the fence line,
he he could be at the POW camp at Commrie Scotland

    Thanks for your comment Ron.
Happy you spotted the grass thing.

The idea for this came from a book I read on what happened to German POWs captured by different Allied nations. Some got stuck for weeks in improvised camps, quickly set up on fields close to the river Rhine. Just poles and barbed wire, nothing else, sometimes even without food for days. Andernach and Remagen were infamous examples. The Allies were not really in the mood for treating their German prisoners well, after the discovery of the concentration camps...

    Cheers,
    Adrian
