    The Normandy figure is outstanding.
As far as Odin goes.... he is a god, but he has a round belly, and holding his breath for looking skinny (don't know the right words). His thorax isn't right in my opinion. Further he looks crosseyed.
It seems not natural enough for me. But is a god natural??

Hi Marc, Odin had only one eye, his right one is painted white, he sacrifised that eye for wisdom.

I'm not so good in Norwegian mythologie so appoligize my stupid writings. But if his eye was gone, there should be no white, just a hanging uppereyelid with skintone. Maybe that is also stupid???
Seems that the whole figure had his inspiration from this drawing.

No one is calling you stupid, Marc, it was just something I knew,

I think this picture was the inspiration.

Personally I rather see a different style when portraying the norse gods. The paratropper will be a nice figure for everyone.

    Hi!
It´s an interesting question... Odin lost one of his eyes, and it´s true that the figure should have one blank or "black" eye. But when Paul (the sculptor) made this impressive face, it would be a crime to break it or paint it black. Just because the expression of the figure, some anger and pose it´s in relation with the view and the look of the figure.
That´s the reason why I choose to paint it "white" while the other eye has the correct iris.
About the torax, I don´t know what to say. I think it´s right the way it is, but I understand that the pics are never fair

Thank you everybody for your opinion (y)

About the inspiration of the figure, there are a lot of descriptions and draws about Odin, Thor and all the norse gods. We used those descriptions and some illustrations, two of them have been posted.:D
    Thanks!
