I did this figure for a colleqe of mine who's son has served with the Dutch Marines in Afghanistan at Uruzgan.
It is my first camo, and my first big one.
With the help of SteveZ (nickname planet) i has come to this result. Thanks to Maurice Corry to do the research for this figure if it was possible to him as a dutch Marine.
I loaded a bunch of pictures from the marines in Afghanistan and they all where different in equipment and clothing.
After i took the picture i add a drop of gloss varnish into the eyes, and some sweat drops from under the helmet.
Finally i got a figure of my colleque son and i think it will be a nice gift.
Maybe I overlooked some spots, so any comment is welcome.

    Marc superb painting.

Just one question, do dutch marines wear their helmets the wrong way round . It looks back to front.

And i was sweating to remove the helmet without damage. So it doesn't come of. Paint was coming off, but it is possible to restore it.
    The epoxy is to tight.....
Thanks for commenting, and I let it as it is know.

Excellent painting Marc, I'm absolutelyy certain you're not the only one to make an error like that but I hope you rectify the helmet. (y)
