    Mike,
Will there be a second figure in this series for the motorcycle (sidecar)?

Mike, I think this model is a fail. I mean he is holding a map but he is not doing the requisite pointing off in the distance. LOL!

Yep, he needs optional arms. One pointing, and one holding his chin in deep contemplation of just where he took that wrong turn!

    Mike,
Great SBS. I was curious in your prep work for a figure. After the topic is chosen and reference material researched do you make a rough or very detailed sketch of the figure? Or, just go with your minds eye so to speak and start sculpting? Thanks Sean

Just wondering, is this figure going to be released as a commercial kit ? ... well question is, should I consider going after the tasca 1/25 sidecar or not :)

As I said on page one: "BTW, yes this will be a commercial kit. The manufacturer will remain anonymous for now."

So yes, go ahead with the Tasca scoot....

I dunno, should there be?

D'oh! I failed the Verlinden modeling cliche test. Do you think they will suspend my artistic license?

No sketches. I operate with a vague plan and a few armature parts. I do, however, always find a full length photo of a guy wearing the uniform or clothing in question (or a reasonable facsimile) and reduce it down to the actual size of the figure. This is used for getting proportions and measurements for the clothing length, belt line and such. Measurements are taken off the pic using dividers.

Some people do not bother with this step, but you can tell sooner or later because they can't guess right every time.

    Cheers!!

    Mike,
    RE. 2 figures
I truly believe a second figure can complete a story.(y)
Two figures will look great with the sidecar also. You've got my vote.

Not much to add here. The final details were just a few buckles and the belt insignia, all done with Pro Create putty.

Several people had asked about an SBS, so here it is. Thanks to everybody for their kind words. This figure will be issued sometime next year.

Happy Holidays and cheers to everybody!! :D

Thanks Mike for taking the time to document this SBS, the pictures speak a thousand words in any language and certainly provide a guide for those of us who push the putty!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours! (y)

I do believe that K-98 ammo pouches need to be added to the figure, it is very unlikely that a dispatch rider would have a weapon with a source of ammo?
    Just an observation.
    Merry Christmas Dudula!
