    Hi All

I thought id share my next little project with you. This is a Bonapartes 1/10 scale resin cavalier bust. The detail and casting are superb with very minimal clean up. Here i have just primed the figure, i normally work in oils, acrylics and enamels

Hi Paul, I look forward to seeing how this turns out. Being a cavalier there should be plenty of lace and colour.

    Hi all

I have made a start on the face, done in oils apart from the eyes which are acrylics and ill add some gloss varnish to them when im happy with them. Quite a good face to paint although the nose is rather large

    Great skintone's, like them.
You can use green or blue to get rid of the redish color. No harm with that.

    Hi All

I have added a few more highlights and shading to the face and also blocked out the hair,Wig, in black acrylics. The hair will have a base coat of jet black oils and then ill gradually highlight it with various shades of brown starting with straight burnt umber

Still to finish the eyes and add a bit of sparkle to them

    Good work.

That new yell....pointalism seems in the video the old stippling technique.
    But i can be wrong.

    Hi Marc
not really stippling is with a larger brush, and i often use stippling its a good technique, pointilism same application, much finer brush and it takes a lot longer

    Hi All
I have finished the highlighting of the wig, the cuirasse has had a couple of base coats, then 2 coats of enamel steel metal coat. After this had dried it was polished with a soft cloth.the collar has had the shading done with pale blue and the highlights in straight white and the strap has been base coated in burnt umber
