I've now completed the Thumbs Down vignette, following on from my last post i've now added the ret'e (net),this was achieved by using verlinden camo netting to which i added small plastic balls which would represent the small weights which wer'e part of the ret'e,the trident staff has been broken during the combat with one piece sticking out of the ground.

The camo net comes in green so i decided to airbrush it with a couple of shades of light beige which was then toned down with a wash of GW sepia.

The slings which wer'e attached to the ret'e i added to the grounded figure's wrist with fuse wire which was undercoated in GW skull white and finished with a light beige colour to make it stand out against the darker background of the figure.

A big thank you to you all for your kind and constructive coments and for those of you who rated it with 5 stars.

    Happy Painting :)

You don't need the apostrophe. The word is rete, plural retia. A bit confusingly, there's also another word for net; retia, plural retiae.

Your net looks really great though.

I hope I get to see this some time Brian, great work.
The net holds it all together, well not literally.
    You know what I mean,

It's the work which is a spectacle, Brian.
    Indeed a dramatic vignette.
    Great!
    I congratulate completion.

A very realistic vignette, Brian. Excellently painted. I'm glad you havent shied away from the blood as there would have been lots of it at these events. Very realistic and I especially like the base that you have used.
