This is my take on Mikey Wittmann in 1/35. It's almost done.

This figure shows the rank of SS-Hauptsturmführer (captain).
He was promoted to SS-Hauptsturmführer from
SS-Obersturmführer (first lieutenant) after the battle at
    Villers-Bocage in Mid-June, 44.
I did this so that AFV modelers can correctly put this figure next to
the famous Tiger callsign "007" which he burrowed for the mission
and was killed in on Aug 8, 44.

Without further due, here are the pics:

    Hi Teasung!

Great likeness, did this figure 1:35?
I want to paint this one for sure.
    Great work as usual.
I see this one on the top of some allied armor turret.
ps: I see is 1:35 oh my god!!!!
You will attended in the WE?

    Excellent Taesung!

You've really caught him..particularly the ears and nose in the first photo. The photos belie the scale of the piece, hard to belive this is 1/35th.

Funny stance though, is this from a photo?
If I didn't know better it looks like he's about to breakdance!

Bowing away gracefully from a Minor God....

    Cheers,
    Jon.

Looks very good Taesung. Nice likeness...But 007? But that is another debate that I will leave out there for people to check on. Suffice to say is is not what the LSSAH history claims.

His unit was not part of LSSAH in Normandy. sSSPzAbt 101 was an
independent unit by then. If I understand it right, his Tiger was #205 and he
had burrowed a Tiger (Befehlstiger #007) from the Abt. staff unit that day.
He was also seen on other Tigers from 2nd company which he commanded.
I have to admit that I am not an expert on him. :)

Sorry I meant the battalion history. If you dig a bit deeper there is a story that the second tank also breaksdown and Wittman then gets into a third tank that he takes into Villers. Shame my library is split over several locations or I would dig the reference out. Suffice to say it is one of those things that is not picked up by most general historians out there:)

But enough history back to the lovely figure;)

Superb work and an amazing likeness in this scale. This will definitely be very popular on the competition tables.
