    Hello all,
I have just finished this 120mm Highland King. This has been my first WIP and I have enjoyed it a lot....it has been really nice getting feedback a long the way.
It has been finished in Vallejo Acrylics, Life Colour, a little bit of oils and airbrush for weathering.
I have tried to get him looking muddy and dirty (heat of the battle sort of look). There is not much more I can tell you. I think I am happy with it but will look forward to hearing what you guys think.
    Thanks, Sam B.

    Whoa Nellie, Sam:

Just a beautiful presentation. . . and very nice photos as well. The fact that
you slanted the "terra firma" at an angle was a stroke of genius. As you seem
to remember, and I try to as well. . . . the world isn't flat.

Beautiful work. The tartan??? Oh gee, wish I could do that 8-(

Congrats Sam, this is an excellent figure. The tartan and the metal work are superb, and I really like the groundwork and the arrows, which add such a sense of danger and menace to the scene. An excellent effort mate. Well done.

Thanks very much!!! I’m glad people like him as much as I enjoyed painting him, the tartan was a little hit n miss at first but I got there in the end.
Thanks also for the input I received during this figure, planet figure has really helped me progress with my painting.
    Thanks Sam

    Great work Sam.
It's very dramatic and is a dynamic masterpiece.
I liked the design of the mantle, the feel of a material of the shield and the color of the tunic in particular.:)
I think the base which isn't a plane is also very effective.
    I congratulate completion.;)
