Thanks everyone for the replies :)

I have a few updates to do today so please excuse me not doing individual replies

The face is pretty much finished, I reduced the contrast somewhat and although I'm not 100% with the stubble I'm moving on :)

The rest of the parts go to be washed and under-coated today so an update on the rest of the head seems likely soonest

    :)

BTW this is a very nice piece of sculpting and casting, the only problem was with the binoculars which I managed to almost destroy removing from the casting block, so beware!

    Hey Mark,

really a very nice paintjob. I love your style of painting faces. Do i see right that most of the area of this face is painted with basic skintone?
It´s really a beautifull paintjob and i will follow this thread to see how this comes out finally.

    Cheers

    Florent ... Many thanks :)

    Ken ... Cheers ! :)

Jason ... Again thanks :) And yes the colour that unifies it all is Basic Skintone :)

Uniform in Field Grey :) I sprayed a base of USA Olive Drab, Field Grey was sprayed as the main colour and a highlight was sprayed with Light Flesh added to the Field Grey.

Some very minor work has been done with hair brushes but the paint is still soft so will do the main brush painting later :)
