Here is my version of the Viking Fury bust by Andrea. It was a lot of fun to paint and very well cast. Please feel free to comment and Happy Holidays to all!

Another great rendition of this popular bust Scott, what stands out for me with yours is the fantastic work on the hair and the helmet, hair colour is great for the colour scheme and the metallic work is so realistic.

    great job

    Congrats, Scott!

I love how planeteers keep upping the game with this wonderful bust. Just when I thought I saw the best version, another spectacular paint job arises.

The flesh is so so gorgeously rendered. Pray tell, how is this achieved?

And it's good to know that this one is actually well cast, it being an Andrea piece and all...

    Hello! Scott.
    Amazing work!
    Indeed the perfect finish.
Facial expression and coloring are very smooth and natural.
    And it's very beautiful.
    I was moved.
    I congratulate completion.

Thank you all for your comments, it truly means alot and is appreciated.
Michael, the flesh is just oils, I use a wet on dry method where it almost is like glazing acrylics with real thin layers of oil and spirits.

    Hi Scott,

Thanks for sharing! I guess it is about time I play around with oil then. Been with acrylics since I started. Very happy with Vallejo. But this post of yours shows possibilities I have obviously not explored.

    Thanks again!

Scott! This is an amazing work of art. I love everything about it, the flesh tones, hair, helmet, etc. Folks let me tell you, I saw this piece live last weekend at our club meeting, you think it looks great photographed, it's 1000 times better live. A+ Scott! Great job Primeau ;)
    Jim
