    Update

    Hi folks!

The Dafadar is progressing, I've managed to paint almast everything, I just miss, the lance, sword and boots, plus the usual final touch up.

As for the ambienation, I've replicate indian white and red granite and a Jaipur carpet.

Is a joy to paint this figure, but "Oh my!" what a pain if you don't want to modify the original sculpture, the casting is so bad..

Anyway, comments are as always appreciated.

Please let me know what you think!

    Ciao

    Giovanni

    I Roger,

I can't agree more, this period is so fascinating yet so rarely covered.

I'm planning to do more of this figures and maybe scratch something of my own.

    Finished!!

And here we are, I've finally finished this really old and fascinating figure.

Has been a pleasure to paint it but, at the same time, a pain as well, with the bad casting and the not so up to modern standard sculpture.

As general note, I've painted the figure without modyfing anything ofthe original figure.

You may notice the ambientation, made with plasticard ad magic sculpt trying to replicate in miniature the ivory ad red indian granit and a existing Jaipur carpet.

As alway any comments is appreciated.

    Thanks for looking.

    Giovanni

P.S.:I've put at the end of the tread 2 pics, the original box art and my version at, more or less the same angle, look how different a painting style can make a figure.

Outstanding painting Giovanni. You've certainly brought this tired old figure to life and given it a makeover. Love the fleshtones, reds and the detailed stripes on the turban.

Nice to see it finished Giovanni, I've enjoyed watching the transformation of an old figure into something quite beautiful.
