Here is my latest figure. It is a new release in which I was commissioned to do the box art for Minuteman Models. It is a portrait bust of female tanker and Hero of the Soviet Union recipient Aleksandra Samusenko. Never painted a female bust of this size so it was an interesting little project. Enjoy!

    Hi Dan!

Very good job on the uniform. I really like the shading and highlightning. The leatherhelmet looks good too, but a picture showing the backside would be nice.
Perhaps a little less distinctive shading of the areas below the cheeks towards the nose?

    Cheers

all acrylics, Vallejos actually but I've switched to Citadel/Games Workshop paints for the metallics.

    Hi Janne...

I'll try to post a couple of pics later on for you. As far as the contrast under the cheeks I'm very satisfied with the way it is currently. Thank you for your input.

Whilst admiring your painting skills as this is for the boxart of a portrait figure surely all details should be correct. Samusenko is wearing the order of the Patriotic War and so the colours of both the ribbon and the medal itself are wrong.

Red Tom, that is my mistake and it will stay that way.

A little error on my part, I gave Dan the painting guide, but does not take from the overall quality of the piece.

    Thanks for pointing it out.
