    Hello all,

This time I focused on painting skintone on face and hand, tried to add organic look to it. (I mean, Painting all in acryrics but try to paint differently on organic factors and inorganic ones, such as U-Boat deck)

    I hope you like it.

Done just the way it should be. This rivals the box art.

I love the flesh effect (shadow/highlight) that you have created on this figure and assumed (wrongly!) that you used oils to create them.

It's fair to assume that any of us aim to at least equal, not least better, the box artist of any figure that we acquire and I would say that you have easily superseded that!

Just one niggle though. The seating around the gun turrets on these boats were made of varnished pine to ensure that clothing/flesh didn't stick to a metal surface in freezing conditions. See the third photo down on this wonderful depiction of a Revell U-boat:

    Hi Tomori,
This figure to rise to the painting and you always good with the painting you did great.
Watch only the back of the figure firmly on the rails and wants a cushion of epoxy putty.
    Bravo!

    Regards

    Hi! Kazufumi.
    Your work is really wonderful.
A contrast of the skin tone and the feel of a material are very beautiful.
The color of the uniform is also excellent.
    I liked it very much.
    I think a wonderful masterpiece.
    I congratulate completion.

Thanks a LOT, everyone. I wanna thank you each and every one of you all.
You guys' comment always get me motivated. I appreciate it.

Wow...that's the highest evaluation I've ever had... Thank you VERY MUCH!

I always try to make my project "Maybe not as good as the box art but at least "I" like mine." level.

Oh my. I'm SOOOO stupid and what a lack of research!
Thank you very much for the nice niggle, I appreciate it.
(and the U-boat model you gave the URL is really great, too.)

I will repaint it to make it looks like a wooden parts, thanks.

Thanks for your advice. I've seen the finished one with cushion under his butt somewhere, but I managed to make him sit on the rails. I bend the deck pipes to make it fit to the figure.

I agree. I think this is definitely one of the best figure that Andrea has ever released.

I'm glad to hear that many people liked the skintones and the dark blue uniform, thanks! These factors were really difficult to paint. especially the difference of touches between clothes and skin. Dark blue tone on the uniform was little bit challenging too.

Sorry I can't reply to you all of your comments, but I read it all and thank you all.

Yep, I have a lots of stocks to paint...maybe the next project will be something smaller than this one, except for WWII.
