Here is my latest figure. It is of Amos Humiston, of Gettysburg fame, which is based on Keith Rocco's excelelnt print of the same man. For those of you who enjoy reading investigatory historical research you will really enjoy this article by Errol Morris of the New York Times. It is about the search of who the man was that was found with the picture of the three childeren at Gettysburg. Excellent read for sure! Find the article Here

The figure was sculpted with Magic Sculpt, a hornet head, Shenandoah rifle, and painted with Vallejo's and Reaper Acryllics.

I am donating this piece to the APG auction at the Gettysburg show in a couple of weeks.

Excellent sculpting and painting Anders. Sorry to nit pick but the addition of pupils to his eyes would work wonders. :)

    Wonderful sculpting painting!
    It's wonderful in everything.
I liked a pose of a figure, the details and a facial expression very much.
    I congratulate completion.

Dan, It was not unusual for soldiers to wear their coats unbuttoned except for the top button. I'm sure a completely unbuttoned coat, especially given the summer heat would be common as well. The coat does however have a two button arrangement on the cuffs. ~Gary
