About bloody time as well :D

mate so good to see you sculpting again, any reactions to the putty yet ?

I like where you are going with this little fellow, a mounted dwarf on a pony, great combo mate.
Obviously i can see you have refining to do but was just wondering are you going to bulk up his forearms a bit more ?

going to be following this one mate,

    All the best,

    G'day to you Ian, downunder. . .

    Hey Ian:

Wow, this aquestrian dwarf is really looking very good, even at this stage
with a lot more to do before completion. And I think I'm beginning to be able
to recognize your style of sculpting. Your approach is very distinctive and full
of a lot of eye appeal. HouseCarl mentioned a brand of pony I'm not
familiar with. Is this a commerically available horse, or did you sculpt it?

Also, and hope you forgive my newspaper background as I ask a lot of
questions, since you're working bigger, what approx. scale would this figure
be? Inquiring minds want to know. . . Will there be News at Eleven?

Lastly, I'm a big Tennis Grand Slams buff. So I'm watching the First Grand
Slam of the year in Australia's Melbourne. Beautiful city, and last night was
National Day. . . and I saw all the impressive fire works display. Really
quite something to see on TV from an aircraft over the city. Most be a
great place to live. . . in Australia. I know for sure they have some very
talented sculptors and more importantly, very nice people.

Off to a great start, and ahma' eager to see more, my friend, (y)

Thanks John - still a lot to go
Rick the Horse I think is 90mm -yes I did get it from a toy shop is a german company - loved it - Carl - bought this one and an even smaller pony to do a halfling on
Steve yes the arms need work - the white is just the basic underskeleton, - like the idea of bigger forarms mate
    Thanks Carl
Costas - you scult a bear so I had to do something

    Thanks Again Ian

Here is some more WIP I have done to bring him closer to completion

The helmet just needs more details around edges of the rear 'skirt' some scroll work

and the hand need thumbs for both and fingers for left hand
and then a thinning of all the edges

    Ian:

G'day mate, and thanks for posting these latest images. Ah yes, the devil
is in the details. And the details are a plenty on this little jewel of an
equestrian dwarf. All those little touches, such as on the front on his helmet
and that big circular "K" on his tunic. Even the bridle. . . oh, only one d in
bridle. Hummm. . . but even the bridle has various little details that make
this so interesting to the eye. By the time this little guy is painted he will
really rate quite high on the Eye-Candy Applause Meter.

Good show, Ian. . . and thanks again,

    Admiral Rick-Over and out. . . :)

    You didn't waste any time . . .

    G'day Ian:

Wow, you didn't waste any time running to the finish line, Ian. I really like
this little Equestrian warrior. So much personality . . . as I see with all of
your figures. Lots of eye appeal with so many clever and creative details.

Also the yellow glow from the lighting gives an interesting atmosphere to
these photographs. I really like the photographs. And it is classy to have
your name in that very interesting outline typeface up in the corner.

    Well done,

Wow didnt have to wait long for a finish on this one mate, you obviously get stuck into it due to the enjoyment of it. Nicely finished off and good to see a mounted version of a Dwarf.
