This is a Brit SAS I just finished in oils. It's a Maurice Corry knock off and to say the least, it was a rough casting. My pics totally suck but I hate and suck at photography. So let me know what you think.

I've got the same figure, never finished it due to it been a dire casting.
It's painted up well Jason, very nice.

Very nice Jason! You are moving along, the leather jerkin and the gloves are really nice. I do think you could use a bit more contrast on the flesh tones though. Either way you are definitely getting better and better with each piece. Keep it up!

    a very nice presentation. . .

These photos are not all that bad. . . I think I can get a very good idea
of how you did with this figure. A fine job all around.

However, and I realize the following point is definitely in the category of a
personal preference, a matter of individual taste:

I would like for you to continue the terrain of this base to be taken out to the
edges of the circular base. . . and not ended where you have the terrain at
the present time. Yes, this is minor point, and I am hope you will take it as
    a minor point.

Wow, what a great paint job. Who's figure is this? I agree with Rick, I would expand the groundwork.

Thanks captainenglish. It's a Maurice corry recast and a bad one at that! I agree with u and KK on the groundwork but I have never really done it before so I was really just winging it!!

Thought it might be a Corry figure, he did great stuff, too bad about him. Anyway, really nice paintjob.

Jason, looks like you did a great job putting right the poor casting. Excellent painting with nice blending and highlights. (y)

Thanks guys. I'm now getting ready to do another Corry knock off, an SS NCO in a camo smock and it will be only my second attempt with camo and since I paint with oils it should be a treat!

Jason, nice job you've done there. Especially like the way you've done the leather, looks really good. The castings on these figs must be the same, i've got the Northern Ireland fig and it is a really bad casting aswell.

Well done Jason, your painting is very good and your photography isn't as bad as you think.
