I finished this one the night before the Long Island show. It's a 200MM vignette based on 1 OOP Warriors fallschirmjager and another which was sculpted by John Rosengrant but never was made commercially available. They are painted in acrylics and it was a fun project to work on. This was very hard to take pictures of due to the 2 different levels of groundwork that I engineered for them. I think the people who saw it live at Long Island will have a better take than what the pics show.

This is beautifully done Dan, the best part of it, you have created a great balance of dramaticism in their expressions and movement, not just well painted figures here - a very commendable job !! Thanks for posting. RobH.(y)

    Well done Dan...

Looks great Dan. I have the same figgies and had been thinking about tackling them too. After seeing yours, I guess I'll put mine back on the shelf again for a while.

    Keep up the great work.

    Hi! Dan.
    Your work is Superb.
    Sprinter-camo is very wonderful.
The facial expression is also wonderful.
I was overwhelmed by your work.
    And I was quite moved.
    A wonderful scene work.
If the real thing is judged from its eye, I think it's seen as a very powerful work.

    Thank you Gordy...

Actually Gordy you probably know the para holding the MP44 is long OOP. I exhausted every avenue trying to find him and the other para with the FG42 never made it to production, it was just a one off. I had a friend help me cast them from the masters. I think they are available on e-bay too as recasts. Thank you for your comments it was a very gratifying project!

    Thank you D...

I find that the 2 levels was a great way to model 2 large fugures in a tight spot and it lends alot of drama to the scene. I'm glad you like it!

    Hi Denes...

I actually did not plan on doing something like this in this scale but I had a rather large round walnut base in my posession (6-1/2" in diameter) and the idea just kinda came to me. I was very pleased with the result and I'm glad you like it. Thank you again.
