I found this old kodachrome slide while going thru my photos.
1/35th Tamiya driver figure with a "tricked out" Tamiya truck.
Something done, back in the last century (1982).
Wow! what a difference 27 years makes!
    thanks,

    Hi Alex,

a piece of modeling history, it's fun to check out old modeling stuff of any kind once a while. And doesn't look bad at all!

Great little blast from the past Alex, how long had you been modelling when this was done?

There's a subject for a thread... if it weren't so potentially embarrassing! :D

Yes you could say "lucky guy" to still have pictures.
I have lost a few thru the years of two divorces and many moves in the last 30 years but do consider myself as Lucky.

I had taken a lot of color slides back before digital cameras, when my priority was to write magazine articles for Scale Modeler, Military Modeler & Military Modeling Magazine.
I learned then to file and organize the color slides.

I hope someday to get my own "Blog" and feature some of the old magazine articles and color slides.

For now, I very happy scratchbuilding 1/9th scale motorcycles and sculpting 1/9th figures in my retirement from government work.

No going fishing or playing golf in my retirement years....just scratchbuilding miniature motorcycles, sculpting and painting figures and traveling to the figure/model shows.

    thank you,

    Bonehead,

    O! yeah! in 1/9th scale.

See you in a couple of weeks in LA and taking my (In progress) scratchbuilt 1/9th 1920 Harley boardtrackracer and sculpted 1/9th Racer figure just to show you (bonehead) and John R. & Tony C.

I tried to finish the project for SCAHMS but got drawn out past the deadline. Thats cool, There is always Chicago!...and Chicago has always been good to me...since 1985.

Thanks and will send a personal message later.

    Hey Alex,

Awesome! I can't wait to see the board racer. But hey, I thought we were going to collaborate on one of these projects? I would love to sculpt the figure, maybe paint the whole thing, bike and figure too! Good thing you have not done the hill climber yet......

Kat and I look forward to seeing you at SCAHMS!
