    Guys,

I'd like to show you a 120mm figure I painted lately, painted in acrylics.

Comments and critics are welcome! Thanks for looking!

Thanks for the quick replies, guys!
Tony, it is one of the very first examples of a Jeff Shiu Miniatures kit, slightly based on the famous Kirin's 200mm figure, but it's 120mm, more here: http://www.jeffshiu.net46.net .

I like the trousers a lot. They really represent the dirty worn look that they used to have.

Denes, cool kit and nice paint up. I seem to recall seeing Jeff as a big seller in Hong Kong of old Kirin kits on ebay in the past. Appears to be nice kit.

There is a person that has re-cast the Kirin figures in resin and they are outstanding to say the least. I have purchased two of the figures and they could be Jeff's. I have know way of knowing but these are incredible figures with optional heads and weapons. The MG's alone are a work of art not to mention the ammo belts.
I may have to send one to Guy for a review.
LMK if any one i interested.

This Historical period is not my cup of tea, but the figure is beautifully painted.
    Thanks for sharing.

    Gents,

thanks for the positive feedback! :)

Rocky - those figures don't have 2 heads originaly, a guy from California selling those with a Warrior 'partisan hunter' bust head and an extra MG34, the pose is similar though.

    Which guy from California?

Rob, here it is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280226042310, the description says 'the pictured kit is the seller's personal item', however this figure is by Calvin Tan, he has it on his website. Sold about a dozen by now, there is a guy in his feedback who protested (feedback on Mar-31-08 23:24) :)

Okay, I have had dealings with this ebay seller. I traded for one of the "unproduced" Kirin kits, the 1/9 kit that was reported to have been sculpted for the new line of DML figure kits/motorcycle kits with figures.

It is a nice kit. He has sold them on a regular basis for several years, as I bought mine probably 3 years ago. Not sure but I seem to recall he had something to do with Kirin in the old days (but I might be wrong). He is also associated to some degree with the Replay sports toys and the Dusty Trail toys that were out a few years ago.

Hey, that's an interesting figure! Saw it before, but never thougth that was for Kirin. Thanks! :)

It is a Rosengrant sculpt if I am not mistaken ( that is what the seller told me). Looks very much like one also.
