    Nice work.
I think that the pictures don't do justice to your work.

    Aloha Marc and Stephen,

thanks for comments. These pics are for sharing only, not for publication. I understand the hassle of setting up photostudios can be painful. Ouch!

Nice work. The use of the bicorne in place of the bearskin is interesting. Gives a different look.

    Hi Mike,

thanks. The bicorne looks better than the bearskin. There was some controvery on the use of a white bearskin, hence I avoided it. I was inspired by Rousselot's paintings for this piece.

    Probably black. Here's a Rousselot.

In parade dress, he would have worn the bearskin.

    Hi Mike,

Thanks for yr interest. I have a copy of Ryans' Rousselot paintings and the one you showed is plate 35 Service Dress. I based my parade dress figure on plate 29 Brigadier trompette. One additional parade item to note is that the shabraque and holsters have a row of yellow rings.

I was aware of the white bearskin controversy on some Napoleonic website and apparently, it was an error by Rousselot himself, taken up by Detaille (Eylau painting I think) and unfortunately perpetuated.
