    Wonderful Sculpt

Sorry if I missed it but the new figure is of ?

Looks like French 2nd Empire ? The treatment of the Sword Slings are interesting.

Hopefully you can hold the production casting run to the great level of detail that Mike has achieved. ;)

French Foreign Legion Officer, Algeria, 1837

This is the first figure I have done for Elite. It is a French Foreign Legion Officer, Algeria, 1837. The painted figure appears to be a production casting as the heavy bill on his hat is "fattened" up from my original sculpture. The sword sling and sword itslef are a "campaign" modification. It is a locally acquired "mameluke" type sword.

So, the kits you buy should look like this.......

OK!.This is the first picture of the figure with a coat of light grey:the work of Mike is fantastic;then the painter only need a pair of good.....brushes!.(and acrilyc paint) to bring to life this French Officer in Algeria, one of my favourite periods of military History.[IMG]
