    Hi All

    This is my second bust since I am in this forum. I know it is far from good, so all critiques and suggestion are wellcome. They will make me improve.

    Arturo, first off, welcome aboard.

    Now, if this is only your second bust I'd say you have a pretty good grasp and you are well on your way. I'm assuming you're using acrylics, so I couldn't be of much assitance other than to say a bit more definition in the facial work and cap, shadows and highlights. Review and study works from other fellow "paint sniffers" and see how they create definition and depth. Practice is the key, and have fun.

    I fully agree with Steve's comments and all credit to you , this is not a easy piece to paint

    Might I suggest you put a dark wash on the epaulettes and cap cords , just tidy around any badges a little

    Try using blending medium to give you more working time on flesh etc (I use W & N but Vallejo and others have similar )

    As for the eyes .....don't use a white , try a very light flesh colour there's a SBS here https://www.planetfigure.com/pages/Mark-Benette-Eye-Tutorial/
