WIP Soviet Sniper WIP

    Hi guys been a while since I have posted. I’ve have now managed to get my head in the right space and came back to figure painting last week. I have a 1/16 Soviet Sniper from world war 2 that I 3d printed and decided to give oils another go today. I am looking for feedback on if I am heading in the right direction and what I need to improve on. Flesh tones where a custom mix with W&N oil paints

    More progress on the soviet sniper base coat highlights and shadows are done just the detail painting boots and mosin weapon left to do

    I think he would deserve even a small base, like the one on my Soviet Officer in Berlin, 1945.

    Will you camouflage wrap his rifle too? He won't really look much like a sniper otherwise.

    Actually it's easy to do.
    Just grab some gauze bandage (that you might have in your supply box), or kitchen paper, and wrap it around the rifle. Use some white glue to fix (and mold) it.
    Then you can color it as you wish.
    That's what I did for the periscope for that guy (using gauze bandage) :
