Getting tired of the same ole same ole.
So I ask a simple question. What is your favorite non military movie. The kind that sticks in your mind that you can't forget.........For me....."There Will Be Blood" with Daniel Day Lewis.

I know... It's a tough question. But "What Say Ye"?......

One of my all time favorites is called "Secondhand Lions". Great movie. Also one called " Big Fish". Both fun movies.

My favorite all-time movie is Casablanca (but I guess some might consider that a military movie?). I'll go with Open Range.

I can't decide between Red 1 or Red 2, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels or True Lies. All of them absolute rubbish, but great fun and very entertaining.

One of Kevin Costner's vanity projects (and he did a few: Starring / Directed by / Produced by / Screenplay by / heroic role / gets the girl). But still a very good film.

Too many fine movies to nominate just one, and my "favourite" changes with my mood, so I'm passing on this one. Good thread though.

    As we all know, it's not easy to nominate any single movie, and choices will vary from one day to the next, but here's what I reckon is a varied selection;

    Chariots of Fire (1981) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082158/
    Falling Down (1993) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106856/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    L.A. Confidential (1997) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119488/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    Snow White : A Tale of Terror (1997) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0119227/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    Streets of Fire (1984) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088194/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    The 39 Steps (1935) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0026029/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
The Adventures of Robin Hood (1938) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0029843/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    The Cowboys (1972) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0068421/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    Quest for Fire (1981) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0082484/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
    Unforgiven (1992) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0105695/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0

Following are not “War Movies” per se (just IMO)
Carry On Up the Khyber (1968) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0062782/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_1
    Casablanca (1942) https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0034583/?ref_=nv_sr_srsg_0
