    Hello dear friends
I'm starting a new job. This is a thumbnail from FeR Private 1st New York Regiment 75mm. For me, this is a new subject. Never took on American history. And in order not to spoil it, I ask for your help on equipment. Since there are many illustrations on the color of the tunic. I can't understand that variety of dark blue dark green, red. I wanted to paint a miniature in dark green vestments. I attach a picture below.
Thank you for your attention. Further more. ;)

Konig, Green was a popular color with the Tory Regiments. Look at the Trioani References and you will see a number of regiments wearing Green. A couple come to mind from the Loyalist troops... Prince of Wales Volunteers as well as 1st Batt. of DeLancey's Brigade.

Thank you Andrew. I'll check out the site. And I will probably try to approach the right details.

Thank you for the information. I'll look at the information. And I'll try to find something to associate this figure with a green shape.
But I'm afraid this could not have happened in the 1st Regiment. And I'm gonna have to paint the tunic in the standard dark blue color.

The details of all uniforms of this type were very similar; it is possible with a little research that you could still do loyalist green. No guarantees, but maybe.

Thank you. Basically a lot of dark blue uniforms. I'm still in doubt. You may still have to paint in a standard uniform.

    Hello dear friend
Thanks for the books. I will definitely try to find and read them to delve into the depths of history.
Hands are already itching to start painting miniature :) Some of the details have already been loaded and are waiting for their hour))

Here's another SITE for you, with lots of prints.
Check out the 3rd New York. It may not be green, but it's not blue.

    Cheers,
    Andrew

I was on this site and read the material. As I understood that there were many groups in the continental army and thus different color uniforms. Each regiment has its own uniform color.

Very raw beginning of the face.

Looks great so far! I wanted to throw a couple of other options out there; the variety of coat/facing combinations for the AWI is huge.

Today I have a little time to draw something. So far, so. I worked green on the tunic. I would like to devote more time to this figure, but so far there is not enough time :(
