Hello Folks,
Unusual subject to paint for me, but very happy i have received this Bust ( first ever) from my friend sculptor Richard Pearce.
This is a great looking piece and will be along 2 other Busts
The IMARA ( Infanteria de Marina de la Republica Argentina) had a mix of equipment from the US Infantry , like Helmet M1 , some were made local and a mix between US and local manufactured cartridge pouches and cords.

I've made progress on this Infante.
I've painted the base color of the helmet using Vallejo Iraqui Sand, then added the green ( scale 75 forest green ) , Brown with a mix of Vallejo flat earth and dab of vallejo uniform black/brown, black with scale 75 black.
The googles base paint is german grey, as for the lenses i've painted light grey, then added few washes of a mix with yellow ink, smoke and sepia wash well diluted. Few passes, after all is dry i did added gloss varnish. View attachment 439916

I did started texture on the amo pouches last night, especially at this scale it will not look right without texture.

Finished the face, still lots of detail to be done on the rest of the figure.

You are certainly bringing it to life. I like the smudged camo paste/dirt on the face.
