Wonderful likeness of an actor wounded on the Somme in WW1 and then escaped at Dunkirk in WW2. He almost certainly suffered from PTSD. In the series it turns out that the character he played had been awarded the MM but he didn't wear his medal ribbons because he thought that that would have been bragging!

Great work, I knew who it was straight away. The flesh tones by themselves are great to look at but you have the hair colour spot on as well

Thank you, it's basically done in Vallejo with a little Jo Sonja titanium white and black. I'm using brokentoad sables which have been very enjoyable to use.

Catching up a bit ....you have captured the character in the sculpt and brought him to life with the painting ...instantly recognisable

Your obviously enjoying the painting as well as sculpting

    Following with interest

    Happy benchtime

    Hi Nap,

Thanks, I'm definitely enjoying the opportunity to see what I can get from something I sculpted as it's a nice change. Hopefully it will translate to when I sculpt next, it's been a number of week's now, still have a little more painting to do for commisions.

    Regards
    Chris.

Here's an update of the painting commission of the Home Guard busts from Ybrossculpts. All that needs doing now will be the mounting.
    Thanks for looking. [IMG][IMG][IMG]
