    the picture you show is the box art painted by Josua Lai and this is incredible ! what is cool with those great Apes is that they all have different faces,
    i did a search on google images and they go from all black faces to almost human tones :)

    today's progress,

    i worked a little bit more the faces, corrected the baby's eyes in order to have a coherent light with her mother's ones.
    for the fur it's a long and tedious process, working only with lines in order to simulate the hairs i did it mainly wet on wet, still some light to add :)
    colors for the fur : red leather, orange leather, aldebaran red and gold skin.

    in the end this bust is a real pleasure to paint, sculpt is fantastic !

    i love the fact that the 2 busts are reflecting in the background :) that was not planified but it's a kind of "Happy mistake" !
