Suggestions for "Maid Marion" (75mm)

I dabble in fantasy figures from time to time but I'm not as well-versed in the fantasy ranges as I am in the historical ones. So can anyone suggest a female figure that might work (or could be readily adapted to work) as Maid Marion? It's for a project I have in mind with a Sherwood Forest theme.

    A few prerequisites:

    1) Must be 75mm

    2) Preferably resin

    3) Good sharp detail, so no ancient metal lumps from the '70s or '80s

    4) Not in a "fighting" pose, but carrying a weapon or weapons of some sort would be perfect

    5) No "tits & bums" girlie figures, or muscle-bound, six-packed Amazon women in rawhide bikinis

    6) Cloaked and/or mysterious-looking would be perfect. So for example a Lady-Elf that I could adapt if needs be might fit the bill

    7) The atmosphere I'm looking to create is one of "dark fantasy", not campy Hollywood "men in tights" stuff, so it needs to fit in with that.

Thanks in advance for any pointers and ideas.

    - Steve

If only I were anything of a sculptor Andrew! It's a good suggestion but unfortunately I would struggle to dress it up. I realise that my brief is perhaps a tad narrow and specific, but given the wealth of knowledge on this forum, I thought it's worth an ask.

Thanks for your time & input anyway, it is appreciated.

I have just finished reading "Crusades", the first part of " Guy of Gisborne" by LJ Hutton. [Quite a good read!]. Set towards the end of Richard's reign [1190 ish] - It portrays Marion as a 'sister' from the Hospitallers. Perhaps a suitable nun figure? Black outfit, white cross - change head [add whimple or bare headed?] Armed with a Welsh bow and a dagger?

Just had a look Steve and it's the wrong size (120mm). Also, although it would certainly work as a more traditional Marion, for what I have in mind I'm looking for something a bit more warlike and less "romantic". Thanks for the suggestion though.

Good idea Ian, something along those lines would certainly be an option if I could find a suitable piece that I could adapt without too much difficulty. Thanks for floating the idea.

Thanks Andrew, that's the sort of thing that I had in mind and I'm definitely going to put that down as an option. Shouldn't be too difficult to lose the basket, adapt the arm and add a weapon. And with a couple of slight modifications that I think even I could manage, the butcher might work as Friar Tuck.

    Good shout!! (y)

I couldn't remember the scale and the figure only vaugely, I thought it was more sinister for some reason, don't know why.

The lady in the "How much is the meat?" looks to be an older, more of a chatelaine type of woman . A different female head might work on her, as she is quite a slim bod. She is wearing a type of wimple, too.

For some of us of a certain age there was but one Marian Fitzwalter...the
utterly delectable Audrey Hepburn. It was a rubbish movie but who cares?
Not useful Steve, but sometimes it can't be helped...

Disagree on the rubbish bit though, one of the best Robin Hood films out there IMO.
