Hi everyone, I’m a real newbie!

    My name is Ian Liversage 63 yo aka “Livers”.
    I’ve built wooden ships and plastic kits for many years. In January this year I tried my hand at painting miniatures (to occupy my hands during drying time).
    I was bitten by the bug immediately, I’ve practiced on some 3D printed miniatures and just completed my first ever “purchased” piece (attached).
    I’ve just bought my first resin bust off a member on this sight and I’m looking forward to receiving tips, guidance and inspiration, so of the work here is awesome.
    I’m looking forward to some constructive criticism!

    Welcome to the figure side of the hobby, Livers, and welcome to the Planet! That's a nice piece to feature as your introduction.
    I build models, too, since I was a kid, and it was painting the kit figures from classic Monogram, Revel, Airfix kits, among others, that led me to painting figures, too.
    I look forward to seeing more of your work!

    Great to have you with us ....share the PF word , all are very welcome to join ..no matter what's modelled with figures

    Do ask any questions someone will know

    Lots of different sections to look at including traditional and 3 D sculpting , competitions , WIP's , References , Painting techniques and so much more

    There are threads in Welcome Aboard about how to do things including posting pics on PF but feel free to message me always happy to help

    We have V Bench for WIP's and also a Completed part ,reference section

    There's also Painting techniques where you will find much about Acrylics and Oils

    ALL figures are welcome and of course Vignettes & Diorama ( we run friendly competitions if you wish as well , one called FOTM where there are 3 classes to choose in which to enter )

    Look forward to seeing your modelling no matter what you paint ..its all about having fun and a bit of friendly banter as well .....I don't paint legs ..yep I am a bust bloke ....LOL

    If you are working with Window 10, the tool to do this is in your machine and it takes less than 30 sec.
