started this one over a year ago and abandoned it, just couldn't get the flesh looking right, will have another go with some oils. Will use the acrylics as the base for the oils.

Base flesh - Yellow, red, green (touch) then mix up with white for highlights and just keep mixing upwards. Shadows, burnt umber added in and progressively add more to make darker, colour base flesh plus more red. then a case of adding in greens / blues for shadows and tinting flesh. with this one though changes will be a lot more subtler.

Just noticed on her right arm, a bit of a finger print from superglue, which i will leave as it looks like a scar lol , will need to paint in the plastic hole though!

I approached this one with quite a bit of trepidation, never painted female flesh before, and the box art is quite amazing. So i have gone for a more suntan/olive skin approach, thinking she has been out in the open for a fair amount of time. All painted with oils over an acrylic base. Its amazing to see how 'off' the standard 'flesh' colour on her right arm ( Scalecolor artist acrylics)is. Need to tidy up her eyes and obviously paint her right arm, but pretty happy with were we are at the moment.

Good work Steve, a big improvement, and I dare say looks beter then the box art.

Knee deep in water sounds good, lots of scenario opportunities.

I do wonder why sculptors insist on sculpting lengths of fabric wound around wrists/arms... :D

Yep all in oils, found it suits my style of wet blending, takes a bit longer as need acrylic base colour laying down first then oils over the top. Hoping to reinstate the Batman logo from a post above !
