More work continues on the stables - the roofs have had several coats of Slate Grey, and a bit of weathering (the light obscures some of that though) I have also started on some washes on the walls and a wee bit of highlighting - some light dusting will be applied before it finished.

That looks really good, less is more, apart from farm yards.... :ROFLMAO: .

I can see the weathering on the roof, looks blotchy, nice. Dont forget to add a green wash to a few corners and edges, to simulate moss growth..

Looking forward to see it coming together on a base.

Evening all, a bit more progress - I have the other face of the stables weathered - its just needs a wee bit of dust when my new paints arrive, I thought I would place it against the house for comparison.

Hi all, work on the Great Barn has started - first my normal mortar in between the bricks - then the brick colour gently brushed over the top - carful not to get paint in the mortar runs, then after and Idea that came to me (from somehere);) I decided to add a few orthan bricks in different shades - I did this by using the brick colour then mixing in some sand, then picked out a few bricks - then I did the same with a slighly darker then slighly more Red, think its worked out ok.

Evening all - more work on the Barn, the White and Black paintwork was brushed on, then some washes and dusting (you know the job - old brush and dry brushed on in layers) then the Floor was worked on inlcuding triming the outer edges as there was a few mil over hang.

So basically this is the current state of play - the roof is just dry fitted pending a few adjustments and brush painting before fitting.

You capture nicely the look of weathering at ground level caused by rain spattering over many years. That's a great touch that adds to the realism. I look forward to your next installment!

    Prost!

Marvelous! , i really like the attention to detail, the weathering looks realistic and not an easy task to accomplish.
    Cheers!
