Another 75mm figure from Avanpost, a beautiful figure.
I did all the prep, which is minimal. Then drilled some holes in the location points as I wanted to paint most of this off the figure. I then pushed cocktail sticks into the drilled hole and being a tight fit (not too tight obviously). The everything was undercoated in Matt white from a rattle can.

The cartridge box and back pack have been painted in blue black and the watered down sepia ink.

I am now at the stage of painting the head and the body

I have also painted the ground work which is finished. Just waiting for that to dry the attach the figure to the base.

My thanks go out to Akaryu ( Pierre) and to Martin Rohmann for their help on uniform details. The shoulder straps for a particular Regiment and other small details.
    Thanks for looking in.

I am calling this done, all that is left the lettering on the shoulder straps and some weathering on the shoes and bottom of the trousers.

Hi Bob, just starting this myself. I've done a couple of other manufacturer's figures in between my last Avanpost and it's lovely to get back to these. You almost don't need glue to put them together they are such a nice fit and need hardly any cleaning up.
BTW did you get round to doing the shoulder strap lettering you referred to? Had a look at some references and that would be extremely fiddly, unless you used a "1."!

    Thanks for the great comments.
Tony He has an fancy 'm' on his shoulder for Moscow. It was the easiest to do and thankfully just one shoulder, the other can't be seen.
Thanks Nap, perhaps next month with this one.
