7 theories as to why Sterling went down in the 103rd minute

This scene is likely to be discussed for a long time: Was the penalty for England in the 103rd minute of the EM semi-final against Denmark justified? After all, Raheem Sterling seemed to fall suspiciously quickly in the penalty area. Or is there perhaps a completely different explanation for this? I have 7 theories why the English striker went down:

    1. A Molehill?

If you look closely, you can see a molehill at the point where Sterling tips forward. Did the greenkeeper at the time-honored Wembley stadium slouch?

    2. A viewer in the stands turned on his pocket fan

More than suspicious: In the 103rd minute you can see that a fan on the opposite grandstand is turning on his hand fan. Explosive: The hand fan is initially directed towards the playing field. Was Sterling caught in the resulting gust of wind and thrown forward? Something like this should have happened before. 1987 in New Zealand.

    3. Laces open?

Did Sterling simply stumble upon his own open shoelaces?
Suspicious: Both of the striker's shoes actually have laces. Coincidence?

    4. Had sterling 2 per mille?

Did Sterling secretly drink half a bottle of whiskey during the break before the extension and fell over as a result? I have no evidence that he did that - but neither do I have evidence that he did not.

    5. Laser pointer hit in the back?

Shortly before Kane's penalty kick, Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is blinded by a laser pointer. Could it be that the same laser pointer recently hit Sterling in the back and knocked him down?

    6. Was Sterling remotely controlled by Bill Gates after corona vaccination?

Is it possible that Bill Gates, secret ruler of the world and legal owner of all those who have been vaccinated, has a hand in the whole thing? In fact, it is rumored that Gates has already remotely controlled many footballers from home with his game controller at this European championship. Sterling too? And: Cui bono?

    7. All together?

Did Gates remote-controlled Sterling, dead drunk, stumble over a molehill with open laces, hit by a laser pointer and hit by a gust of wind? I dont know. I'm just asking questions ...

If you think Sterling went down easily just watch the Italians on Sunday, they are past masters at this. They are also very good at feigning agony to get people booked or sent off .

Yes, it will be an interesting drama competition.
It's a shame that Neymar is not allowed to play, he surpasses them all.:joyful:

I'm not sure a dive would be paid in this game - perhaps they wouldn't even go on the field. Skip the advertisements.

Only thing is, Martin, if England do happen to sneak a win, then we face 55 more years of jingoistic rhetoric

If the Denmark farce is anything to go by, England will sneak a win with the aid of simulation, own goals and unruly crowds - then as Alan says, another half-century of self aggrandisement. Mind you, if they do win, it will give the government a heaven-sent opportunity to bury some bad news - maybe like reversing the decision to "unlock" on 19/7. There's a part of me that wonders if that wasn't the plan from the beginning of all this.:meh:

Well, they did win that other farce, the Eurovision Song Contest, so I guess you are right:eek: Half our lot don't even know our anthem (which will no doubt be replaced by "Sweet Caroline" in due course)

Yeah what is that all about?? Suddenly a 53 year-old American pop song has been seized upon as the new song of English football? I don't get it.
