Evening all, so after the go a head with the dio scenery and buildings, I am starting with the Farmhouse in the LHS farm, the whole farm complex is made from MDF and is laser cut to a high standard, so my best way to build/paint this is in sections before assembling the pieces together.
So after a few coats of paint this is my current situation with plenty more to do yet.

After some detail painting to the farm side of the farmhouse - need to do the same to the kitchen garden side of the house also.

Looking good... a white or cream wash will really pop those bricks.

I have started working on the insides of the Framhouse as I intend to add a landing floor/staircese and space to position some KGL firing from the dorma windows.

I like that idea. But be careful, because that way lies madness... :D it starts with a floor, and a staircase, maybe a chair, and before you know it, you'll be dragged away from your workbench, trying to fit the springs to the chime work of the grandfather clock in the hallway...:ROFLMAO::confused:

My other half says it could the the replacement dolls house she always wanted - I resist the temptation to wallpaper the walls or put pictures up - and no real open fire with simulated smoke.

Enjoying seeing the progress you're making on this extremely ambitious project! Oh my goodness, 100+ figures, plus buildings etc. at 28mm scale, that would be the death of me! Keep up the great work!

Evening all - some more progress - I have glazed the insisde of the farmhouse windows with clear plastic, then I started building some frames and lastly painted them.

Evening all, the work continues with the dolls house (farmhouse) I finished off the inside walls of each section with the Two Tone paint scheme, then I started on the roof - this involved fitting Five Dorma window assemblies as three of them will have figures firing from them, and the other Two attic windows will remain closed and glazed.
I moved through the different stages of detailing and painting - finishing off with a dirty wash and a couple of layers of flat top coat brushed over the whole roof.

All the doors have now been painted after the last internal pic.

Evening all, so the work on the inside has begone - Firstly I am working on a staircase that will have a small toilet/heads underneath it, I made the staircase from ice lolly sticks and some card, I also made a tiled floor using more card with paper tiles cut from a sheet of A4, with gaps for the mortar, I then closed it in at the back and put a small piece of card on the front - it will have a box type toilet inside along with a bucket, and an angled door.
I have also made a partition wall that still needs a cut out access into the living room.

Continuing with the under stairs toilet/heads unit - now with the box toilet and paintwork done - Just needs a door.

That's coming together very nicely. I like the small, hidden detail of the understairs lavatory :D. I think the floorboards could do with being scribed along the middle along their lenght, to narrow them a bit, as they look a bit to wide.
I agree with your omission of wallpaper, these kind of farmhouses would have white washed walls. Are you going to cover the ground floor floors with straw?
