Many a question has been asked about lights, magnifiers, brushes, paints....What do you wear when at your workbench? A tuxedo, I think not.....good pants and shirt, nah.....the good pants you spilled paint on last year or had your epoxy putty ruin, now we are talking. Must be some good stories out there. Maybe you grab an apron, overalls, or old clothes. Now is the time to reveal the neat-nicks from the _______ fill in the blank. Thanks for the levity.

A pair of jeans and an old shirt usually or sweats sometimes. I don't have anything specific to painting that I wear... except for the henley i'm wearing now with the big splotch of dried epoxy on the right cuff. (Did you know epoxy doesn't wash out? lol)

Nap, I don't knock things over as much as drop them on the floor. I spend a lot of time on my hands and knees.

Tight speedoes, a strap on shark fin and large flippers.....makes searching on the floor for dropped parts a real adventure!

Deep breath - back on topic. Paint-spattered joggers, old sweatshirt and a worn out butcher's apron which has velcro pads on it to fasten it under the bench-top to catch the inevitable fallen parts. Oh, and a beanie which makes the optivisor sit more comfortably. No music, just the noise of the coffee-maker glugging away:coffee:

Plastic apron but I like Phil’s idea of the Velcro pads as, like Rick, I spend too much time on hands and knees looking for dropped items, which at my age means getting back up is a challenge.

If you like the Velcro idea Nap, and don’t have access to needlework skills, look up Jewellers bench aprons. They are designed to catch precious metal filings so would suit well in our application....
