Nicely done. I'm not sure about the wolf pelt on a legionary as opposed to an Aquilifer or other officer.

That's a lovely figure and will be on my list to buy when El Greco have it in stock. I agree with the other comments though and it looks much better without the wolf fur as that just seems to tip it into a fantasy arena.

Looking at it, this is one of the very best Romans in the classic lorrica armour in any scale. Well done MF!

Great looking figure. Probably me or photo but to my eye there's a slight imbalance in the pose.
Almost as if the bent leg when straightened would be longer than the other, remember Lattore's Norman.
Nicely detailed overall and definitely lose the pelt.

This is probably the influence of the angle of photography. In fact, there is no imbalance !! Oleg Polgosyan does not admit inaccuracies in anatomy !! :)

Another nice one from MF, as figure painters we are being spoilt with lots of great releases it would be so easy to lose control on the wallet but all I can say is that the vision of MF and the sculptors is giving us magical creations and those differently posed figures that make them especially tempting, I can also see this trend with other companies and of course the quality of casting is getting much better, long may this continue.

As for the additional armor on the sword arm and the shins: As far as I know, it was only used under Trajan during the Dacer Wars (98-117) - against the Dacian Falxx sword, which was an unpleasant surprise for the Romans...
