    Received an email from AK a month or so ago advertising their latest 90mm resin figure –RAGE002 – Crash landing, there was an offer attached that if you are one of the first 15 purchasers you would also receive bottle of Burnt Jet Engine Pigment, Engine Grime and a ‘smoke effect pencil’ for free. I wasn’t overly bothered about these additions, so just went ahead and ordered the model. Seeing as this was coming direct from Spain, I was a little shocked that only 5 days later it was handed over to me from our postie, and it seems I had been one of the first 15, so also received those freebies.
    Everything came in a sturdy cardboard box;

    inside been the model and the aforementioned items, packed out with crushed paper, and a small bag of sweeties!.

    Maybe she used something similar, or one of her tribe did to bring down the aircraft she is sitting on as a trophy?

    [IMG]

    Her very scary but exquisitely cast ‘teddy’, a thing of childhood nightmares

    [IMG]

    About 10 minutes of clean up and I could put together the whole thing, parts just tacked in place with blue tack

    And finally a couple of images of the box art from the AK website

    Ak, ammo by Mig, both gave their systems working well via DHL...it’s expensive but works reliably...I’ve even had a piece by another maker walked over to Ammo and shipped in an order from Ammo...where an expresspost order took three months..
    the crash landing piece looks like fun, and well cast...there seems to be a lot of tolerance for rubbish QC, so it’s heartening to see casts and designs executed without needing total rework and leaving half the kit weight in resin shards and dust

    Interesting figure. I'd probably remove the ears and putty the holes over. The quality of the casting looks excellent.

    Prost!

    That'll be fun to paint Steve. Lots of scope for colours. These future-world dystopian subjects make an interesting change, certainly from Col Burthe!:D
